What cookies do

Cookies are small pieces of information that a website can ask a browser to retain and send with later requests. Other storage systems, including localStorage and sessionStorage, can hold information in the browser without sending it automatically with every request. Their privacy implications depend on how they are used.

What this website code uses

The HTML, CSS and JavaScript supplied for this site do not create cookies, localStorage records or sessionStorage records. There are no embedded advertising, analytics or social-media scripts. The navigation menu and scroll effects use temporary page state, which is not saved as a reader preference.

The contact tool holds entered text in the current page. Copying a note writes to the system clipboard when you request it; downloading saves a text file when you request it. Neither action creates a site cookie. Your browser may independently cache resources, remember form entries or retain downloads according to its settings.

Hosting and separately supplied controls

A hosting or security provider can add HTTP cookies or other behaviour independently of the page code. A separately supplied consent interface may also store a preference. Those components are outside the storage behaviour described for the static files here. Any additional storage should be documented with its purpose and duration, and non-essential processing should be controlled where applicable law requires it.

This page does not claim that externally configured services are absent simply because the static site does not implement them. If you see an unfamiliar cookie, inspect its domain and purpose in your browser or contact us for clarification.

Your browser controls

You can review and remove cookies and site data through your browser’s privacy or site-permissions settings. Browsers may offer separate controls for third-party cookies, clipboard permission, downloads and autofill. Deleting site data can reset preferences supplied by other components. Blocking JavaScript disables the local note tool, but the written guides remain readable.
